What can I expect during the treatment and what is the downtime?
At Seaside Family Medicine the Votiva treatment is administered by one of our highly trained nurse practitioners in our calming treatment room. The treatment lasts approximately 30 minutes and during the treatment you will feel a heating sensation. Depending on the intensity of your treatment there is little to no downtime. Most patients have some discomfort during and immediately following the treatment while some patients experience no discomfort at all.
How many sessions are required?
Your provider will determine the best treatment plan for you. While differences can be noticed after just one treatment, 3 treatments 4-6 weeks apart are recommended for resolution of symptoms. The number of sessions depends on your concerns and your personal goals. A single yearly maintenance treatment is recommended.
Is the procedure covered by insurance?
Unfortunately, Votiva is not covered by insurance plans so patients are required to self pay for the procedure. Please contact the office for pricing, specials, and payment options. The procedure does qualify for most HSA/FSA.
How much does the procedure cost?
